Academy of Skating Programs
Warriors Learn to Skate programs are designed to teach fundamental skating skills to people of all ages interested in ice sports such as hockey, ringette, and figure skating, as well as those wanting to skate for fitness and enjoyment for life. This program is the first opportunity to develop a life-long interest in the sport.
Warrior coaches will centre the program on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate recreationally. The program will focus on fun, participation and basic skill development while teaching about posture, balance, stride, stopping, opening hips, edges and much more.
Equipment Requirements: All on ice skaters (Parent and Tot, Tot, Youth, Teen and Adults) must wear a CSA approved hockey/ringette helmet with full cage, breathable and moveable clothing, such as splash pants, mittens and/or gloves and hockey or figure skates.
