Warriors Learn to Play Hockey or Ringette

Warriors Learn to Play Hockey/Ringette is an instruction level tot hockey and or ringette program designed to give kids aged 4-8 the necessary skills needed to eventually play in a competitive and fun environment. Our professional coaches will teach the basic FUNdamentals from beginner to intermediate skating for hockey/ringette, stickhandling, team play and good sportsmanship
The program is best suited to player that are comfortable on the ice without parents, and for those that have passed Warriors Learn to Skate program. This is not a learn to skate program. If the athlete is not comfortable and unable to particiapte in the skating skill sessions unassisted athletes will be asked to join or re-join Warriors Academy of Skating.
Young skaters will be arranged by ability into smaller groups and will learn through fun games, obstacle courses, relays, and small arean games to build the foundational skills required to play hockey or ringette.
Full equipment is required and includes a CSA approved hockey or ringette helmet with face mask, BNQ neck guard, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, with skates, stick, gloves, jock/jill shorts, pants, socks and jersey.

Learn to Play For beginners and all children new to hockey.

Must have passed Tot or Youth Learn to Skate Silver

Must be able to get up and down on their own, and move freely on the ice

Must be comfortable on the ice without a parent

Must be able to “run” or stride/skate and glide freely around the ice

This is NOT a learn to skate program – participants are required to have passed required levels before starting a hockey program
