  Progressive Power Skating

Hockey or Ringette Players aged 6 to 12 yrs

Progressive Power Skating is designed for players to learn the proper skating techniques to increase speed and agility.  The program will focus on forward and backward edges, forward crossovers, tight turns, pivots, figure 8’s and 360’s.  The focused skills will help in the athletes agility for maneuvering and deception, sudden stops and explosive starts, techniques to increase speed, power and evasiveness while controlling the puck or ring.  Also touch on body and puck/ring positioning.

Pre-requisite: Currently enrolled in minor hockey or ringette and or passed Warriors Intro to Power Skating.

Equipment: Full hockey or ringette equipment is required including BNQ neck guards, CSA approved Hockey or Ringette helmet with cage and hockey or ringette stick.  

Dates: Thursday January 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12
