Summer 2024  –  Warriors Bar Down Skill Development

Warriors Bar Down Skill Development is designed to help those looking to improve their stickhandling, puck carrying and control, and shooting techniques.  We look at proper stick length, weight transfer, hand positioning, body movement, accuracy, and many other dynamics to improve your stickhandling, puck control and shooting skills.

Prerequisite: 

• Student has taken and/or has advanced out of Hockey Fundamentals, Intro to Power Skating or Power Skating.  Students need to be 100% comfortable on the ice and able to skate in a push-glide sequence forwards & backwards and be proficient in stopping and using both inside and outside edges.

Program Weeks:  Chilliwack Coliseum

• Week 1 – July 15, 16, 17, 18 (Mon – Thurs)  Time: 11:30 to 12:30pm

• Week 2 – July 22, 23, 24, 25 (Mon – Thurs)  Time: 11:30 to 12:30pm

• Week 3 – August 12, 13, 14, 15 (Mon – Thurs)  Time: 11:30 to 12:30pm

• Week 4 – August 19, 20, 21, 22 (Mon – Thurs)  Time: 11:30 to 12:30pm

• 2012 to 2015

• $160.00 + gst

General Information

Equipment: Full hockey equipment is required including BNQ neck guards, CSA approved Hockey helmet with cage and hockey stick.  

• Sharpened skates, shin pads, hockey socks, hockey pants, jock or jill, shoulder pads, elbow pads, jersey, hockey bag, tape and water bottle.
