Summer 2024  –  Half Day FUNdamentals of Hockey Camp 

Warrior FUNdamentals of Hockey is designed for children who can skate without assistance, have a desire to play hockey or are new to the game and looking to improve.  The program will help to prepare students for hockey and additional Warrior programs.  Warrior coaches will provide an on-ice instruction ratio of 1:6 to provide small class sizes to provide generous player development throughout the program!  Off-ice athletes will engage in activities for the whole group and could include road hockey, off-ice puck control and other fun games.

Prerequisite for participation: This program is best suited for those that have passed Youth Silver in our Academy of Skating programs or who are currently playing hockey at a house level but looking to improve on their skating and skills.

Equipment: Full hockey equipment including CSA approved Hockey Helmet and Cage, neck guard, skates, gloves, and stick.  Pucks will be used throughout the program.

Age: 2018 to 2012

Dates: 

• Week 1 – July 15, 16, 17, 18 (Mon – Thurs)

• Week 2 – July 22, 23, 24, 25 (Mon – Thurs)

• Week 3 – August 12, 13, 14, 15 (Mon – Thurs)

• Week 4 – August 19, 20, 21, 22 (Mon – Thurs)

Typical Day: Chilliwack Coliseum from 9:00 to 12:30pm

• 9:00 to 9:45 am Check-in and warm-up

  9:45 to 10:15 am - Change

  10:15 to 11:15 am - Skating and Skills

  11:15 to 11:45 am - Change and snack

  11:45 to 12:15 pm - Indoor our outdoor group activities

  12:15 to 12:30 pm - clean up and pick up

  12:30 pm - Camper Pick up
